Private Sector Engagement Frameworks - Private Sector Consultation

An interactive and dynamic session that explores specific investment pathways for private sector engagement in the sanitation economy. The session will use one of three collaborative formats—World Café, Carousel, or Rotating Roundtables—to facilitate in-depth discussions, knowledge sharing, and actionable insights. Participants will move between themed tables or stations, each focusing on a different investment pathway: Core Business and Assets, Financing, Advocacy and Communications, and Sustainable Business Practices. The session will also address barriers and challenges, the financial and non-financial benefits of investments, and share success case studies. The objective of this session is to enhance participants' understanding of the diverse opportunities and modalities for financial sector engagement in ending open defecation, showcase practical examples of ways the financial sector have contributed and generate excitement / interest among participants to contribute . Through collaborative discussions and knowledge exchange, participants will identify key opportunities for investment, partnership, and innovation in the sanitation sector, fostering actionable insights and strategies.

Nigeria Roadmap to Hand Hygiene for All 2021 to 2025

The Federal Ministry of Water Resources, in its characteristic habit of adopting global good practices to improve the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) status of Nigeria, collaborated with UNICEF and other Development Partners to develop the Nigeria Roadmap to Hand Hygiene for All (HH4A). The Nigeria HH4A Roadmap recognizes the necessity of three core factors namely: political leadership, a strong enabling environment, and increased supply and demand for hand hygiene through inclusive programming at scale.

2022 World Toilet Summit, Abuja

The stakeholders of the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Sector gathered for the 2022 World Toilet Summit and World Toilet Day held in Abuja, Nigeria on 18th and 19th of November, 2022 respectively. Water Sanitation and Hygiene National Outcome Routine Mapping 2021

The Federal Ministry of Water Resources (FMWR) and National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), with the support of UNICEF and partners, have implemented the third round of WASH National Outcome Routine Mapping (WASHNORM). This third edition of the survey tagged WASHNORM 2021 follows the tradition of the previous surveys - NORM 2018 and NORM 2019. It applies sound statistical principles to collect and analyze WASH data at the national and sub-national levels. The survey x-rayed the sector, highlighting the situation of WASH services in Nigeria, the trends, challenges, and opportunities for growth. It is a testament to the commitment of the Federal Government of Nigeria through the Federal Ministry of Water Resources and the state water agencies to improve access to WASH services and achieve SDG 6 by 2030.

YouthWash programme Strategic Framework
